Back to camp for a welcome swim and finish packing the gear. Everything we had told the bushwalkers to look out for had gone - the marque, the West End Canoe club dominance of the central table (some other paddlers were there now) and Dave. We reserved
our vacated campsites for the bushwalkers and some homeless tourists then Tom, Mark and I headed off in the late afternoon. We were treated to a beautiful sunset over the entrance to Kin Kin Creek and Lake Cootharaba which remained as still as a millpond.
Tip: Include plenty of water and sunscreen should you decide to do a day walk along the Cooloola Trail.
