    Landing At Karragarra
A flotilla of fifteen kayaks slipped away from Weinam Creek to add to the diversity of craft on the bay. The roar of three hovercraft was followed by a delightful medley of small wooden sailing craft. We slid into Karragarra to share one of Carol’s classic cakes and be entranced by the charm of gaff rigs and tiny spinnakers each seeking that elusive puff.

The tide was fat. The breeze slowly coming around to the NE as we circumnavigated Macleay Island passing between the remaining piers of the private jetty to the east of Potts Point. A friendly and efficient service at the Macleay Bowls Club produced a round of delicious lunches. Fish and chips was a popular choice with club nominated as a place worth a return visit.

Island ferries, vintage Moreton Bay Cruisers, converted trawlers, jet skis, dinghys, sit on kayaks, stand up paddle boards all added to the mix on what had been a most convivial day on the bay.
